Terri Brown-Davidson as the Corpse Bride (2008)

This painting is actually a homage to two talented artists: the director, Tim Burton, and the writer, Terri Brown-Davidson. When I saw Terri's photo, it reminded me somehow of Burton's "Corpse Bride." It a peculiar association, but it worked for me. The blackbirds in the background are reminiscent of Walter Anderson's work. He was a brilliant eccentric, who painted on the Southern Mississippi coast.
